Rotator cuff problems

At SRM, we can use ultrasound to guide injections into joints, tendons, ligaments, and specific muscle tissues. Injections that were not possible five to seven years ago, can now be performed through the skin under the direct visualization of the ultrasound. Ultrasound guidance can also be used for minimally invasive procedures like treatment of calcific tendinopathy and percutaneous needle tenotomy. This gives patients another option before considering more invasive surgery. Ultrasound guidance also gives us the ability to deliver medicine at the desired spot. This improves results and reduces the possibility of tendon weakening resulting from blind injections with certain medications.
